Dongo Terms of Service

Version 2.0 — Last updated: 21 July 2026

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Dongo ("Dongo", "we", "us"), operated in the Republic of Uganda, governing the Dongo mobile app, our public campaign pages, and our business dashboard. By creating an account or using any Dongo service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Part A applies to everyone; Part B applies additionally to users earning rewards; Part C applies additionally to businesses advertising on Dongo.

Part A — Everyone

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older, resident in Uganda (or another country we expressly support), and legally capable of entering a contract. One account per person, and one account per device. You are responsible for keeping your phone and login codes secure — anything done through your account is treated as done by you until you tell us it was compromised.

2. The service

Dongo connects people willing to give genuine attention to content with businesses willing to pay for that attention. We may add, change, or withdraw features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

3. Acceptable use

You may not: use bots, scripts, emulators, rooted-device automation, or multiple accounts; misrepresent your identity or location (including VPNs used to fake it); interfere with or probe the service's security; upload unlawful, deceptive, infringing, hateful, or obscene content; or use Dongo for money laundering or any illegal purpose.

4. Suspension, termination and appeals

You may stop using Dongo and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, show fraudulent patterns, or where the law requires. Balances accrued through fraud are forfeited. If you believe your account was flagged in error, email support@dongo.app within 30 days — a human will review the decision and reply with the outcome.

5. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Ugandan law (including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that, Dongo is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of expected earnings, or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control (network outages, mobile-money operator failures, force majeure). Our total aggregate liability to a reward user is capped at your wallet balance at the time of the event plus the total you withdrew in the preceding 12 months; to an advertiser, at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event.

6. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have exclusive jurisdiction, after a genuine attempt at amicable resolution via support. If any clause is held invalid, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by SMS before taking effect, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement.

Part B — Earning rewards

7. How rewards work

Rewards are credited only after our servers verify your activity (for example, that the required watch time genuinely elapsed, or that a partner network confirmed an offer). Reward amounts are shown before you start a task and may differ between tasks and change over time. A task can become unavailable at any moment — including while you are viewing it — if its campaign budget runs out; we design the app to avoid this, but where it happens no reward is due for an unverified view. Occasional sponsored interstitial ads shown between tasks carry no reward. Offer-partner tasks are credited only when the partner reports completion to us; we cannot credit offers a partner does not confirm.

8. Your wallet

Your Dongo balance is a record of rewards owed to you under these Terms. It is not a bank deposit, does not earn interest, is not transferable to another user, and is not e-money issued by a licensed institution. We may correct balances credited in error (for example, a technical duplicate) and will show any correction in your transaction history. We may require identity verification before large or unusual withdrawals, to comply with anti-money-laundering obligations.

9. Withdrawals

The minimum withdrawal is 5,000 UGX. Withdrawals are paid only to your own registered MTN or Airtel mobile-money number, normally within 24 hours of approval. Changing your registered number takes effect after a 48-hour security hold. One withdrawal may be in progress at a time. If a payout fails, your balance is automatically refunded. You are responsible for ensuring your mobile-money account is active and in your own name, and for any taxes applicable to your earnings.

10. Referrals, streaks and bonuses

Referral bonuses are paid when a referred person genuinely joins and reaches the qualifying earnings threshold. Bonuses obtained through fake, duplicate, or self-referred accounts are reversed — including after payment. Streaks, levels, badges, and daily missions are engagement features; unless a cash amount is explicitly shown on them in the app, they carry recognition only, not money.

11. Earnings disclaimer

Dongo offers small incentives, not employment, and creates no employment, agency, or partnership relationship. Earnings depend on available campaigns and are not guaranteed. Anyone telling you Dongo is a salary, an investment, or a get-rich scheme does not speak for us.

Part C — Advertising businesses

12. Accounts and billing

Business accounts are prepaid: you top up a balance and campaign views/responses are charged against it at the cost-per-view shown when you create the campaign. Charges accrue only for verified views and claims, never for anonymous page visits. Your dashboard shows spend in real time. Unspent balance is refundable on written request, less payment-processor fees actually incurred; spent budget on delivered views is not refundable. You are responsible for applicable taxes on your advertising spend.

13. Campaign content and review

Every campaign (and every content change) is reviewed before going live, and we may decline or remove any campaign at our discretion — including content that is illegal, misleading, defamatory, adult, hateful, dangerous, or that violates third-party rights or advertising regulations. Review is a screening step, not an endorsement, and does not transfer responsibility: you warrant that you hold all rights to the content you upload, that it is truthful and lawful, and you indemnify Dongo against claims arising from it. You grant us a licence to host, display, and distribute your campaign content within the service and its share pages for the duration of the campaign.

14. Leads and user data

Where a user explicitly opts in to be connected with you, you receive their name and phone number for the sole purpose of responding to their interest. You must handle that data in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 — no resale, no list-building, no unrelated marketing without their separate consent. Misuse of lead data is grounds for account closure without refund of spent budget.

15. Results

We verify attention (watch time, recall answers, claims) but do not guarantee any commercial outcome — sales, calls, or footfall. Metrics shown in the dashboard are our good-faith measurements and are the authoritative record for billing.
